  • If you prefer a longer dive, you can choose the 40 minute baptism to enjoy more time underwater and discover more underwater wonders.

Discover Scuba Diving (DSD)

If you want a more complete experience and learn basic diving skills, the DSD (Discover Scuba Diving) option with e-learning is ideal for you. With this option, you will receive a brief theoretical and practical training before diving with a certified diving instructor.

You can also choose to add extras to your diving baptism experience, such as a second baptism or DSD on the same day, a companion who only needs transportation, photos to capture your best moments underwater and transportation from Playa la Arena or Tenerife South to make your arrival more comfortable and hassle-free.

Frequently Asked Questions

What species of underwater animals can be seen during the first dive in the Bay of Stingrays?

During the diving baptism in the Bay of Rays you can observe about 15 species of fish, rays, turtles, crabs, moray eels, octopus, cuttlefish, shrimp and many more. You can also find several species of rays such as Chuchos, Bishop rays, Butterfly rays.

What is the difference between Try Dive and DADI DSD?

Both are beginner dives and require no previous experience. DSD Padi (Discover Scuba Diving) includes training during which the diver acquires basic scuba skills. It counts as the first lesson of the PADI OWD (PADI OPEN WATER DIVER) dive course. Upon completion of the DSD Padi program, the diver also receives a diploma.

How long does the diving baptism program in Tenerife last?

The duration of the dive depends on the program you choose, but the training and preparation for the dive always takes a long time, we are never in a hurry when it comes to diving. All in all, the preparation and the dive takes about 2.5 – 3 hours.

What is included in the Try Dive at our dive center?

The program includes 30 minutes of training in a language the participant understands, diving equipment and instructor supervision during the dive. Photographs/videos can also be taken during the dive program for an additional fee of 15 euros.

What is the instructor-student ratio?

The test divers are under the supervision of an instructor, in a maximum ratio of two to one.

Is transportation provided from the hotel to the dive center?

Yes, you can book a free transfer from the hotel to the dive center. The free pick up is only in the south of Tenerife and comes with certain conditions.

What is the cancellation policy?

A refund is available if cancelled more than 24 hours prior to the tour. Cancellations cannot be made less than 24 hours in advance.
